How to Select the Perfect RC Airplane Kit

Before we get to select the perfect RC Airplane, lets get our basics sorted out. RC- implies Remote controlled, and obviously RC Airplanes would mean Those Toy Airplanes, which can be controlled, flown and landed by remote control just like our modern live airplanes.

For a beginner the choices are vast and the Hobby shops, and Internet are a great reference for a final choice, but I will list out the basics for selection of a perfect RC Airplane.

1. As a beginner try to go in for a Basic Electric model which gives you a ready to assemble type of Kit.

2. These kits contain the complete set of the Airplane, including the Balsa Wood (The best and Lightest Wood used for Model Airplanes) Plane components.

3. Try to buy a complete kit in the which You get a Combo Pack which includes Plane components (Wooden/Paper), Remote Control Unit, Battery Unit, Radio, Engine, and Assembly Accessory Pack, all packed into one. This will not only avoid your searching for individual components (which in all probability a beginner will not know about), but also make it easier to assemble and fly in the shortest possible time.

The Kit should contain the following items and you should also bear these points in mind.

a. The Complete Structural Component of the Airplane- (Balsa Wood Mainframe with all component parts).

b. A complete Do-it-yourself manual which will explain step by step every single instruction from Assembly of the Mainframe to your final solo flight

c. Contain the Complete Remote Control Set including the Joystick controls, Batteries, Radio, Antenna, and additional components if they are add-on extra’s.

d. Visit various Hobby shops and go through the various kits available and try to familiarize yourself with the very Airplane itself. What are the parts of a Plane such as Fuselage, Wings, Tail, Ailerons, Rudder, Flaps, The Motor, with its Rotors, The landing gear etc. This will make your mind clear about the very basics. Try and Get a Feel of One Model and Handle it to see how comfortable you feel with its size and weight, because these are the most important factors.

e. Once you are familiarized with the Airplane itself, try to get a feel of the Remote control accessories, through some of your Friends or Hobby Clubs. Try to get a Visual and Physical “Feel “ of all components, such as the Remote Control Console, the Joystick, the flight controls, such as controls for the Flaps, rudder, Ailerons, and the Acceleration and Deceleration of the Airplane.

f. Knowing to hear and see what each Factor means before buying a RC Airplane is the most important part in selecting the RC Airplane. Once you are comfortable with the Nomenclature, The parts, this handling experience and the “Feel” of the Plane, will mean half your job is done. g. Now you can go to the Hobby shops and Select the Most basic Model based on the Experience and Advice of your Friends and other Professional RC Airplane Flyers.

HAPPY FLYING!

2 Facts To Consider When Shopping For A Remote Control Airplane Kit

What could be more fun than a remote control airplane? Finding a seller and a style to fit your budget goals are within reach if you search on the internet. Due to most business for retail sale sources tending to host a site of some kind on the web, you don't have to wait until companies set out their Christmas merchandise to find a remote control aircraft. When looking at remote control airplanes kits, you will want to notice if the airplane is pre-assembled, either partially, completely, or, not at all. If the airplanes are not pre-assembled at all it will be very difficult for a person, unless he has a lot of prior experience assembling remote control airplanes. Most any of these airplanes have been designed of a rugged material in the event of crashes and other mishaps, but they vary in the amount of assembly required. Another thing to consider after checking for the amount of assembly required, is to check for how much flying time is on the plane when it is fully charged. Planes vary in the length of time they can hold on one charge and they vary in the length of time it takes to charge them up. Flying time could be a little short, say, 5 minutes, for an adult with some practice under their belt, but probably a good amount for a beginner or a child. Some of the plane kits require that you supply your own batteries, so this may cause the running time to vary according to your battery supply. You will probably have to test run it with the batteries in and see. There are many features available on remote control airplanes. The kits to make them include remotes, with various button styles and other useful features. They have different wing spans, they come in classic or modern airplane designs, like an airbus or a terminator style. You can find some in hot colors, and others in classic airplane colors. But, probably being certain how much assembly is required and how long the plane might fly on one charge, will be the two factors most worthy of your attention.
